Stainless steel nuts

Stainless steel hexagon nuts A2 DIN 934 — selection for the connection

DIN 934 nuts made of A2 stainless steel create detachable connections with suitably selected screws and threaded rods. Their hexagonal shape permits spanner installation. Check nominal diameter, thread pitch, dimensions and project material requirements when choosing a nut. Matching diameter alone is insufficient if the screw and nut have different pitches.

Size range and coarse thread

This category contains coarse-thread nuts in sizes M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16, M18, M20, M22, M24, M27, M30, M33, M36 and M42. Pitches found on the product pages are:

• M2 — 0,4 mm, M3 — 0,5 mm, M4 — 0,7 mm, M5 — 0,8 mm, M6 — 1 mm.
• M8 — 1,25 mm, M10 — 1,5 mm, M12 — 1,75 mm, M14 and M16 — 2 mm.
• M18, M20 and M22 — 2,5 mm, M24 and M27 — 3 mm.
• M30 and M33 — 3,5 mm, M36 — 4 mm, M42 — 4,5 mm.

Fine-pitch stainless steel nuts

Fine-pitch designs include M8×1 in a pack of 10 pieces, M10×1,25 and M12×1,5 in 5 pieces, and M16×1,5 and M20×1,5 in 1 piece. The number after × indicates thread pitch in millimetres. For example, M20×1,5 has a smaller pitch than coarse-thread M20×2,5. These designs must not be interchanged in the same connection.

Packaging for servicing and larger assembly jobs

Pack size depends on the specific size. The range includes individual nuts and bulk packs up to 1500 pieces. For example, coarse-thread M8 is available in 10 or 250 pieces, M10 in 5 or 150, M12 in 5 or 100, and M16 in 5 or 50. Before choosing, compare piece counts in the name and description. A bulk pack is a separate range item and does not mean every size comes in every pack quantity.

A2 material and operating conditions

Product pages in this category specify stainless steel A2-70 and designations DIN 934 and PN 82144. For connections requiring a confirmed mechanical class or specific corrosion resistance, choose components using the selected product documentation and service conditions. Do not assign resistance to specific chemicals solely from the word “stainless”. Comparison with acid-resistant DIN 934 nuts makes it easier to find another material design.

Installing stainless steel nuts

Mating threads can gall during stainless fastener installation. Follow lubrication and tightening recommendations for the specific connection. Lubricant changes friction conditions, so tightening torque should follow documentation and assembly assumptions, not thread diameter alone.

Frequently asked questions about DIN 934 A2 nuts

Does an M10 nut fit an M10×1,25 screw?
In this category, coarse-thread M10 has a pitch of 1,5 mm. For an M10×1,25 screw, choose a nut with the same 1,25 mm pitch.

How do you check the number of nuts per pack?
Read the quantity in the name and the “Quantity sold” field on the product page. Choose the item matching the number of pieces required.

How do you send an enquiry to NERON in Piła?
State thread size and pitch, material design, standard designation, required quantity and connection operating conditions. Use the NERON contact page. Compare other materials and coatings in the category DIN 934 hexagon nuts.
