Tapered roller bearings
Tapered roller bearings are a specific type of rolling bearing designed to carry high axial loads. Their use follows from their distinctive shape — both the rolling elements and raceways take the form of a truncated cone. Our range includes a wide choice of tapered roller bearings, suitable for various construction, industrial and other projects.
How is a tapered roller bearing constructed?
Every tapered roller bearing consists of two basic parts: the inner and outer rings. The former carries rolling elements in the form of truncated cones, from which this component takes its name. The outer ring provides the inclined bearing raceway. The rolling elements are held in a cage whose purpose is to separate the bearing parts responsible for carrying load. The inner and outer rings of a tapered roller bearing are separable, which is important during installation.
Applications of tapered roller bearings
One of the most important features of tapered roller bearings is their wide range of applications. These components are suitable wherever rotating parts need to move precisely under complex loading conditions. Their high durability is another advantage, allowing use even in the most demanding industrial, construction and machine-building scenarios. Tapered roller bearings are used, among other applications, in gear units (industrial, railway and generator applications), rolling mills and gearboxes. In each of these areas, a considerable advantage is the excellent strength provided by tapered roller bearings, enabling trouble-free use over a long period. To ensure a bearing can handle its intended application, choose equipment from proven suppliers, conforming to industrial standards and made from robust materials. Products with these characteristics are available in the Neron shop.
