Plain bearings
Plain bearings are a suitable solution wherever high loads combine with oscillating, tilting or swivelling motion, as well as limited rotational motion. To ensure suitable operating conditions with these components, choose products of the highest quality — available in the Neron Piła shop.
How are plain bearings constructed?
Standard plain bearings consist of two main parts — the shaft journal and the body containing a cylindrical bearing shell. The shell can move freely during bearing operation. This construction allows products in this category to support rotational movement effectively while providing minimal friction and optimal load transmission. Due to the movement of internal components, plain bearings produce a characteristic sound from which their name derives. Importantly, these components have no moving intermediate parts, resulting in very high strength and stable operation under various conditions.
What are plain bearings used for?
Their versatile parameters allow these bearings to be used in many devices. They are used, among other applications, in vehicle wheels (for example bicycles and forklift trucks), household appliances and industrial machinery. Their operating principle makes them particularly suitable for applications requiring high loads to be taken into account during system operation.
