SELFOIL® self-lubricating sintered bushings are porous metallic components made of bronze or iron and impregnated with lubricating oil. The oil contained in the pores provides constant lubrication between the bearing and shaft, so the entire system requires no additional external lubrication.
Advantages of self-lubricating bushings:
Economy No lubrication required, providing constant lubrication with an oil film (20-30% of the volume is filled with oil). Maintenance-free, eliminating the need for relubrication, mineral paraffinic oil with viscosity ISO-VG-68. Safety No risk of bearing seizure, very high manufacturing precision, load up to 10 MPa (100 kg/cm2), speed up to 30.000 rpm.
