Black, class 8.8

Black fine-pitch DIN 934 nuts — selection by diameter and pitch

This subcategory contains hexagon nuts described on the product pages as black steel with fine-pitch metric threads. When matching a nut to a screw, threaded rod or existing mechanism, read the complete designation, such as M12×1,5, M20×2 or M42×3. It includes nominal diameter and thread pitch. Nut appearance and the M diameter alone are insufficient to establish connection compatibility.

Sizes and packs on the product list

The 20 product pages reviewed cover 16 nominal diameters from M8 to M56. Pitches in this group are 1, 1,5, 2, 3 or 4 mm according to the complete product designation. Pack size also depends on the variant. The table makes comparison easier and leads to the correct page.

The overview concerns the specific variants shown in the category. The M8–M56 range does not mean every intermediate diameter or possible pitch is available in the shop. Check current price and availability on the product page.

How do you select a fine-pitch nut for the mating screw?

• Nominal diameter: compare the M designation with the screw marking or mechanism documentation.
• Pitch P: check the number after ×. M24×1,5 and M24×2 are two separate variants in this range.
• Thread direction: this subcategory covers standard designs without left-hand thread marking. If you need a left-hand nut, go to the appropriate section.
• Dimensions and properties: compare nut height, width across flats and material and mechanical requirements with the product documentation.
• Quantity: choose the pack and calculate the number of nuts needed. The sales unit is given in the product name and description.

Black design and other materials and surfaces

Product pages in this group state “black steel”. If the project requires specific surface protection, state it when enquiring and confirm product data. For repair or modernisation, retain documentation requirements for material, dimensions and nut properties. Compare other designs in the category of fine-pitch DIN 934 nuts, which also includes zinc-plated, zinc-flake coated and A2 stainless steel variants.

Questions about black fine-pitch DIN 934 nuts

Does M20×1,5 fit in place of M20×2?
The designations indicate different pitches. Choose a nut with the same thread as the mating component. The M20 diameter alone does not ensure compatibility.

Does a pack of 5 pieces include screws?
The reviewed product descriptions specify nut quantity. A pack of 5 pieces contains five nuts, not a set of screws and washers.

Where can left-hand thread nuts be found?
The black left-hand M12×1,25 variant is in a separate subcategory for black fine-pitch left-hand nuts. Compare direction and pitch before choosing.

Does a fine pitch mean a self-locking nut?
Fine thread notation alone does not mean a self-locking mechanism is present. Compare designs from that separate group in the section for fine-pitch self-locking nuts DIN 985.
