Black nuts, class 10.9

DIN 934 black steel nuts — thread and design for your connection

When choosing a hexagon nut, compare screw or threaded rod parameters with the documentation of the selected product. This group contains different diameters, pitches and pack sizes. A black surface finish and the category name alone do not replace checking the specification of the specific item.

Coarse and fine-pitch threads

The list includes products designated by the M diameter alone and variants with a specified pitch, such as M10×1,25, M12×1,25, M12×1,5, M16×1,5 and M24×2. In M12×1,5, the number 12 gives the nominal thread diameter in millimetres and 1,5 gives its pitch. Before choosing, check that both values match the mating component.

Diameters and pack sizes

The group covers selected diameters from M6 to M72. Check available variants and item status on the product page. The range does not mean every intermediate diameter is present. M10 coarse-thread packs contain 25 and 200 pieces, M12 packs contain 25 and 150, and M14 and M16 packs contain 10 and 100. Some larger sizes are also available individually.

Assembling parts for machines and servicing

• Thread designation: record diameter and required pitch, then compare them with the equipment documentation.
• Mounting dimensions: check nut height, width across flats and available space.
• Mechanical requirements: choose the design according to supplier and connection project documentation.
• Surface: confirm whether black, zinc-plated or another material is required.
• Quantity: convert your requirements to the number of pieces in the selected pack.

Questions about selecting DIN 934 nuts

Can M12 and M12×1,5 nuts be used interchangeably?
Before substitution, confirm matching pitch and other parameters. The same nominal diameter alone is insufficient to establish fit.

Does every product in the category have the same thread pitch?
No. The range includes different diameters and coarse and fine-pitch designs. Check the complete designation of the selected nut.

What should an enquiry to NERON include?
State diameter, pitch, standard, required mechanical properties, surface finish and number of pieces. If selecting a replacement, include the existing part designation or equipment technical documentation.
