LOCTITE 290 is a medium- to high-strength product ideal for locking already assembled threaded joints.
LOCTITE® 290 is a liquid medium- to high-strength product for locking and sealing threaded joints. Its low viscosity and surface activity allow it to penetrate closed threaded joints, eliminating the need for disassembly. It cures in the absence of air when confined between tightly fitted metal surfaces. It prevents loosening and leaks caused by impacts and shocks. It can also fill pores in welds, castings and powder-coated metal parts.
  • Ideal for post-assembly applications, i.e. locking previously assembled joints such as adjustment screws in fixtures, screws in electrical connectors and locating screws.
  • For metal joints only.
  • Disassembly at elevated temperature
