Difficult-to-remove retaining compound for coaxial parts, based on dimethacrylate ester. Slow curing; ideal for large-diameter parts and active metals such as brass.
LOCTITE® 640 is a green, anaerobic, low-viscosity methacrylate-based retaining compound for coaxial parts, ideal for joints requiring a longer positioning time. Fixture time on steel is 2 h. Also used on active metals such as brass. Difficult to remove and resistant to high temperatures. Maximum clearance between coaxial parts is 0,1 mm and the operating temperature range is -55ºC to +175ºC. Fluorescent properties allow detection of the product after application.
