The classical V-belt is intended for power transmission in drives for industrial machinery and equipment, as well as various agricultural, construction, mining and other machines. Belts in this group are designed to operate at belt speeds not exceeding 30 m/s. They can be used in heavy-duty drives. They are used primarily as replacement belts in mechanical engineering. In mechanical engineering, they are used in special drives (e.g. V-flat drives). Special versions of classical V-belts address problems in the construction of demanding drives in garden equipment and agricultural machinery.
