A classical V-belt is intended to transmit power in drives of industrial machines and equipment, as well as agricultural, construction, mining and other machinery. Belts in this group are intended to operate at peripheral speeds not exceeding 30 m/s. They can be used in heavy-duty drives. They are used primarily as replacements in mechanical engineering. In mechanical engineering, they are used in special drives (e.g. V-flat drives). Special versions of classical V-belts solve problems in designing demanding drives for gardening equipment and agricultural machinery.
