Taper Lock 2012 bushing installation guidance
- Before starting work, stop the drive, disconnect the power supply and secure the machine against starting.
- Check compatibility of type 2012, the bushing bore with the shaft diameter, and the requirements for the keyed connection. Clean the mating surfaces; do not install on a damaged shaft.
- Fit the bushing and pulley and install the screws in the mounting holes in the sequence specified in the instructions supplied with the Hubber bushing.
- Use a torque wrench and the torque specified by the manufacturer of the particular bushing. If you do not have this value, obtain it before installation; do not tighten by feel.
- Check pulley alignment, belt tension and guards in accordance with the machine documentation. Remove the bushing according to its instructions, avoiding uncontrolled impacts and excessive force.
These are brief selection and installation guidelines and do not replace the manufacturer's instructions.
