Selection and applications
Check the profile and minimum permitted pulley diameter for the belt being used, the transmission ratio, speed and drive load. Select bushing 1610 to match both the pulley seat and the shaft diameter. The pulley and bushing are ordered as two separate products. NERON in Pila helps select parts for industrial drives.
Taper Lock 1610 bushing installation guidance
- Before starting work, stop the drive, disconnect the power supply and secure the machine against starting.
- Check compatibility of type 1610, the bushing bore with the shaft diameter, and the requirements for the keyed connection. Clean the mating surfaces; do not install on a damaged shaft.
- Fit the bushing and pulley and install the screws in the mounting holes in the sequence specified in the instructions supplied with the Hubber bushing.
- Use a torque wrench and the torque specified by the manufacturer of the particular bushing. If you do not have this value, obtain it before installation; do not tighten by feel.
- Check pulley alignment, belt tension and guards in accordance with the machine documentation. Remove the bushing according to its instructions, avoiding uncontrolled impacts and excessive force.
These are brief selection and installation guidelines and do not replace the manufacturer's instructions.
