Blind rivets with break mandrels are used to join components with installation access from one side. Both the rivet body and mandrel are made of acid-resistant stainless steel A4. The rivet has an open body and a protruding head with a convex profile.

Selection and installation

For size 4 × 8 mm, the recommended grip range is 2,5–4,5 mm, and the through-hole diameter is 4,1 mm. The body length is 7,8–9 mm with a nominal length of 8 mm. The minimum mandrel length p is 27 mm. Select the tool and nosepiece for rivets with stainless steel mandrels. The stated grip ranges and loads are manufacturer data; trials are recommended when selecting the item and setting parameters. The minimum shear load is 3100 N and the minimum tensile load is 3800 N. These are not permissible loads for the finished joint.
