Sealing ring V-RING 130 VS

V-ring sealing rings are rotary shaft seals. Unlike radial shaft seals, they seal axially against the end face of the housing (e.g. a bearing housing, a stationary component), while rotating with the shaft. They consist of an annular rubber body, sometimes reinforced with a metal ring, which holds the seal on the shaft, and a sealing lip rotating in a plane perpendicular to the shaft axis. The initial axial preload, produced by the tension of the specially shaped rubber lip, creates contact pressure.
