LOCTITE 518 is a medium-strength, general-purpose sealant with excellent contamination tolerance. Ideal for sealing cast flanged joints made of iron, steel and aluminium.

LOCTITE® 518 cures in the absence of air when confined between tightly fitted metal surfaces. An anaerobic sealing material for rigid flanged joints made of iron, steel and aluminium. LOCTITE 518 fills gaps up to 0,25 mm and forms a flexible, chemical-resistant seal that will not break or disintegrate. Sealed parts can be easily disassembled, even after long service. Typical applications include sealing joints between rigid metal faces and flanges. Also used to form seals on rigid flanged joints, e.g. between gearboxes and engine housings.
