Description

 ALTEMP Q NB 50 is a white-to-beige lubricating paste based on mineral oil, barium complex soap and inorganic solid lubricants. In addition to general assembly use, it is particularly suitable for friction points with small and very small movements but high static and dynamic loads.

Areas of application

ALTEMP Q NB 50 can generally be used when assembling frictional connections, such as ring-spring or expansion-sleeve connections, and positive-fit connections such as bearing seats and profiled guides. It has proved particularly suitable for lubricating lathe chucks. High precision and uniform clamping-force distribution are key requirements for tool holders. Reduced clamping force can loosen the tool or workpiece. ALTEMP Q NB 50 improves the sliding of moving chuck components, maintains consistent clamping force and can thus be used for all chuck types. Packaging: cartridge 600 g, spray can 400 ml, can 750 g, bucket 30 kg. Suitable chuck types include wedge-bar, transverse-cam and self-centring scroll chucks. It prevents stick-slip and protects against fretting and fitting corrosion (tribocorrosion) in frictional and positive-fit connections. ALTEMP Q NB 50 also has good resistance to water and media such as cooling lubricants.

Application instructions

Clean and degrease surfaces thoroughly before lubrication. Apply a thin, even layer of paste with a brush or lint-free cloth (do not rub in). For easier application, the sprayable version ALTEMP Q NB 50-Spray can also be used.
