GEB G30 Sludge Remover is a professional chemical preparation designed to restore full efficiency to older and contaminated central-heating systems. Over time, black sludge, metal oxides and scale build up in pipes, radiators and heat exchangers, drastically reducing heating efficiency. G30 effectively dissolves and lifts these deposits, restoring proper circulation, eliminating radiator “cold spots” and quietening noisy pumps or boilers.

Main features are:

• Restores heating efficiency: Effectively removes sludge blockages, restoring optimum heat exchange and directly reducing heating bills.
  
• Safe acid-free formulation (Multi-Metal): The preparation is not an aggressive acid. It is 100% safe for all installation materials, including copper, steel, brass, cast iron, plastics (PEX, PB) and delicate aluminium.
  
• Works during normal operation: Pour the agent into the operating system. It acts slowly and safely for several to a dozen or so days during the normal heating cycle, without requiring heating in the building to be switched off.
  
• Efficient dosing: One 1 litre bottle is sufficient to thoroughly clean a system containing 100 litres of water (equivalent on average to 10 radiators or approx. 100 m² of underfloor heating).
  

Application

GEB G30 is an essential part of closed-system servicing. Particularly recommended for:

• Cleaning and desludging contaminated radiators (eliminating radiators warm only at the top but cold at the bottom).
  
• Clearing blocked underfloor-heating loops.
  
• Mandatory flushing of an old central-heating system before installing a new boiler (e.g. a gas condensing boiler or heat pump) to prevent old sludge damaging it.

Expert advice: Three steps to a permanently clean central-heating system

Many clients and installers simply pour cleaner into the system water and then forget about it after a while. This is a huge mistake! G30 is a cleaning agent – it separates sludge from pipes, but that sludge is still circulating in the water.

The correct cleaning procedure should always be:

• Cleaning (GEB G30): Add 1 litre of preparation for every 100 litres of system water. Leave the system running for several days to even several weeks (depending on contamination).
  
• Flushing: This is the most important step! Completely drain the dirty water from the system, then flush with clean mains water until 100% crystal-clear water flows from the drain valve.
  
• Protection (GEB G10): Clean water added after flushing contains plenty of oxygen, which immediately starts producing new corrosion and sludge. To prevent this, immediately after filling the clean system add our GEB G10 Multi-Metal Protektor Corrosion Inhibitor, which permanently protects the system for years to come!
